I don’t like criticize someone/something so i don’t often criticize them but i cannot keep my anger under control anymore. Please don’t be offended, my American friends. I just would like to tell my opinion - Also i would love to hear my American friends’ negative opinion about Japanese politics tactics. I love discussing about politics or international affairs.
Actually i am super disappointed by the US decision to withdraw from Afghanistan. Afghanistan was captured by Taliban today but the US announced the decision won’t change. Biden said on his twitter, “We went to Afghanistan almost 20 years ago with clear goals: get those who attacked us on September 11, 2001—and make sure al Qaeda could not use Afghanistan as a base from which to attack us again. We did that—a decade ago. Our mission was never supposed to be nation building.” I think the US is irresponsible because if they had archived their goal 10 years ago, why wouldn't they have withdrawn from Afghanistan back then? I strongly think their original purpose should have been nation building.
Japan also helped Afghanistan sending money - around 7 billion dollars for 20 years. But now it went to waste.
Last year Black Lives Matter protest happened in the US due to the death of George Floyd, so i’m wonder if Afghan Lives Matter protest in the US will happen to speak out the human rights of Afghan people - Taliban who took over Afghanistan has been evil because they ban education to women, carry out public execution etc. Maybe ALM protest won’t happen because i have heard that most American people don't feel it's worth spending cost for Afghanistan anymore. At the end of the day, ‘America First’ policy never change. That’s why i’m super disappointed.
